Variations in the permeability of the testicular follicle in the locust Locusta migratoria migratorioides (Orthoptera) during the last larval instar

, : Variations in the permeability of the testicular follicle in the locust Locusta migratoria migratorioides (Orthoptera) during the last larval instar. Comptes Rendus Hebdomadaires des Seances de l' Academie des Sciences, D 281(24): 2001-2004

Variations in the permeability of the testicle of the last-instar hoppers of Locusta migratoria migratorioides (R. & F.) was shown by laboratory experiments using 'tracer' particles containing iron and protein. The base of the testicular follicle containing the spermatids was found to constitute an impermeable compartment during the whole of the last hopper instar.
