Weed control in maize, rape, cabbage and onions with prynachlor

, : Weed control in maize, rape, cabbage and onions with prynachlor. 1 deg Simposio Nacional de Herbologia, Oeiras 1971 Vol 2: 269-282

The chemical and physical properties of prynachlor are given together with its mode of action (see WA 20, 2502). Rates may vary from 3.5 to 4 kg/ha depending on soil type and weed flora. Prynachlor may be used in mixtures with triazines in maize and rape; rates of triazines may then be lower, reducing the risk of damage to following crops. In sown onions prynachlor gives good weed control in the early stages of the crop.
