A note on camel blood serum electrolyte studies during rutting and non-rutting seasons and after the exogenous testosterone treatment

, : A note on camel blood serum electrolyte studies during rutting and non-rutting seasons and after the exogenous testosterone treatment. Indian Journal of Animal Sciences 49(8): 680-681

Sodium, potassium and chloride in 9 adult male camels (Camelus dromedarius) during the rutting season were 340.1, 12.6 and 617.9 mg/100 ml and out of the rutting season 272.4, 14.7 and 603.2 mg/100 ml, respectively. When the camels were given 1000 mg testosterone propionate in the nonrutting season to induce rut, values were 288.0, 12.9 and 573.0 mg/100 ml.
