A preliminary survey of the insects associated with jojoba

, : A preliminary survey of the insects associated with jojoba. Proceedings of the Third International Conference on Jojoba, 13-16 September 1978, Riverside, California, USA: 19-24

In order to determine the insects associated with jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis), collections have been made biweekly at a site near Riverside, California, since 1976. In 1978 the study expanded to include a second site on the western edge of the Sonoran desert. Eleven orders of insects represented by 223 species have been collected.
