A study of the heritability and variability of certain quantitative characters in pear hybrids

, : A study of the heritability and variability of certain quantitative characters in pear hybrids. Byul nauch inform Tsentr genet lab (30): 3-8

The highest coefficient of variation in fruit weight was found in Tema X Duchesse d'Angouleme and the lowest in Pyrus ussuriensis X Dekanka Osennyaya Variation in fruit shape was highest in Tema X Duchesse d'Angouleme and lowest in P. ussuriensis X Beurre Clairgeau and P. ussuriensis X Beurre d'Hardenpont. The coefficients of heritability and variation revealed sufficient genotypic variation and heterogeneity in the populations studied in respect of fruit weight and shape.
