, : Agricultural stabilization funds in Papua New Guinea - the case of coffee and cocoa. Agricultural stabilization funds in Papua New Guinea the case of coffee and cocoa: 10

The price stabilization funds for two major agricultural export industries in Papua New Guinea, coffee and cocoa are examined. The main objectives of stabilization are: (1) to stabilize prices to growers, (2) to boost growers' incomes when prices are low, (3) to judge the rate of bounty payments so that funds last through expected slumps, and (4) to ensure that the funds aid general economic stability. Various strategies exist and are outlined.
