An analysis of farm income and demand for inputs

, : An analysis of farm income and demand for inputs. Rajasthan Economic Journal 2(1): 15-29

The effect of adoption of new agricultural techniques on farm income and demand for inputs is measured using a simultaneous equations model applied to cross-section data collected from 92 farms of Rajsamand and Nimbahera blocks of Udaipur and Chittorgarh districts of Rajasthan state, India. The area under HYV has a significant positive effect on net farm income. Multiple cropping and HYV have resulted in significant increases in labour employment.
