Behaviour of some biochemical and haematological values of the blood of piglets reared under intensive conditions

, : Behaviour of some biochemical and haematological values of the blood of piglets reared under intensive conditions. Medycyna Weterynaryjna 34(3): 172-175

Several blood values were examined in 239 piglets aged 28 days, just before weaning and again about 10 days after weaning. Piglets free from gastrointestinal disorders before weaning had decreases in total protein content, aspartate aminotransferase activity, and concentrations of Na, K and Ca after weaning.
