, : Compounds new to essential orange oil from fruit treated with abscission chemicals. Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry 26(6): 1288-1290

Six phenolic volatile compounds, eugenol, methyleugenol, cis-methylisoeugenol, trans-methylisoeugenol, elemicin, and isoelemicin were isolated and identified as citrus constituents for the first time, but only from cvs Hamlin, Pineapple and Valencia orange fruits treated with abscission chemicals of the fruit injuring type (e.g. 5-chloro-3-methyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazole (Release) or glyoxime (Pik-off).
