Considerations in the selection and importation of biological control organisms

, : Considerations in the selection and importation of biological control organisms. Australian Applied Entomological Research Conference Queensland Agricultural College, Lawes, June 1979 Invited reviews and situation papers: 97-109

With special reference to the biological control of weeds in Australia, the selection and importation of biological control organisms is discussed in relation to exploration, host specificity, and environmental impact, and it is concluded that the best strategy for selection and importation is the one that allows the research worker to exercise his judgement and ingenuity.
