Current status of grape root borer infestations in Georgia: promising chemical control methods

, : Current status of grape root borer infestations in Georgia: promising chemical control methods. Georgia Agricultural Research 19(4): 17-20

Many table grape vineyards in N.E. Georgia were found to be infested by Vitacea polistiformis. Twenty five contact, systemic and fumigant insecticides and 8 methods of application were evaluated. Data for 1974-77 are tabulated. The contact and systemic insecticides gave poor control of established larvae.
