Deterioration of chopped harvested cane


, : Deterioration of chopped harvested cane. Revue Agricole et Sucriere de l' Ile Maurice 58(2): 87-93

A comparative study of the deterioration rate of burnt and unburnt chopper harvested cane was carried out. Burnt cane was found to deteriorate faster as shown by the glucose:sucrose ratio and by the increase of dextran.
