Efficacy of an antibiotic and a nematicide in controlling little leaf and root-knot disease complex of brinjal

, : Efficacy of an antibiotic and a nematicide in controlling little leaf and root-knot disease complex of brinjal. Indian Journal of Nematology 1979; 8(2): 144-145

The combined effects of tetracycline (an antibiotic) and Vydate on infestation of brinjal with little leaf disease (caused by mycoplasma-like organisms, MLO) and Meloidogyne incognita were investigated in a pot experiment. Tetracyline reduced the severity of the MLO disease but not the root-knot index which was reduced by treatment with Vydate alone or Vydate plus tetracycline.
