Estimation of cross section production functions under structural change in Indian agriculture

, : Estimation of cross section production functions under structural change in Indian agriculture. Discussion Papers in Economics and Econometrics, University of Southampton (8010): 45

The objective is to provide "improved" estimates of a cross section production function for four major crops grown in Andhra Pradesh. Data on output and inputs for the production of rice, tobacco, groundnuts and sugarcane in 20 districts of Andhra Pradesh from 1959/60 to 1974/75 are used. There is also an investigation of the long run relationship between outputs and some inputs.
