Forest and shade trees

, : Forest and shade trees. Cooperative Plant Pest Report 3(44/47): 618

New records are given from the USA for several species of insect pests of forest and shade trees that had not previously been observed in the state concerned. Operophtera brumata (L.) is recorded for the first time in the USA; it was first collected at Portland, Multomah County, in Oregon, in December 1958 and subsequently in December 1973 and November 1978, but the insects taken in the first 2 collections were at first misidentified as O. occidentalis (Hulst).
