Hydrophysical properties and the composition of soil air in subtropical Podzolic soils of varying degrees of cultivation

, : Hydrophysical properties and the composition of soil air in subtropical Podzolic soils of varying degrees of cultivation. Pochvovedenie (9): 37-47

Studies were made in 1973-1975 of the hydrophysical properties and soil air CO2 and O2 contents of strongly Podzolic tea plantation soils in Georgia. When the soils were excessively wet and their temperature was high, CO2 accumulated to 5-6% of volume and O2 decreased to 15-16%.
