Hyperthermia for treatment of ocular squamous cell tumors in cattle

, : Hyperthermia for treatment of ocular squamous cell tumors in cattle. Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association 176(4): 356-360

Fifty-six benign ocular squamous cell tumours and 20 squamous cell carcinomas were subjected to hyperthermia (50 deg C for 30 seconds/cm2 of tumour surface) created by radio-frequency current from an electrothermal device. Of the 76 tumours, 60 (49 benign and 11 malignant) regressed completely following a single treatment.
