Improvement of saline- and sodium-affected disturbed lands

, : Improvement of saline- and sodium-affected disturbed lands. Reclamation of drastically disturbed lands: 485-504

The formation and origin of salts is discussed. General characteristics of saline soils, sodic soils, and saline-sodic soils are detailed. Plant growth relationships with salted soils are complex. The ion exchange phenomena and factors affecting it are presented.
