, : Leaf spot of sunflower in South Africa caused by Alternaria zinniae. Phytophylactica 9(2): 61-62

The fungus was isolated from localized leaf and stem lesions on plants collected during the 1973-74 season at Potchefstroom and pathogenicity was demonstrated. A preliminary survey showed it to be a common sunflower pathogen in S. Africa.
