, : Mechanisation of Indian farming: obstacles and prospects. Mechanisation of Indian farming: obstacles and prospects: 132

The book deals with the role of mechanization in Indian agriculture as well as the factors hindering farm mechanization. The micro and macro economic, social and other effects of the first phase of technological change are analyzed. Some model calculations about tractor demand are made and discussed. The interrelationship between social structure of the farming community and its prevailing production techniques is also discussed.
