Mechanized logging in deep snow

, : Mechanized logging in deep snow. Ekonomi, Forskningsstiftelsen Skogsarbeten (1): 8

Field studies in Jan. and Feb. 1977 on the effect of severe snow conditions in various parts of Sweden on the performance of feller/bunchers, trimmer/cross-cutters and forwarders showed that feller/bunchers had the greatest problems (stump ht., greater wt. of trees, clogging of mechanisms).
