Mechanized turning of cheeses at the Nordsalling Dairy - from idea to reality

, : Mechanized turning of cheeses at the Nordsalling Dairy - from idea to reality. Maelkeritidende 92(7): 197-198

This article describes the development of Perfora cheese turning equipment specifically designed for a new cheese store at the Nordsalling Dairy, Denmark. The cheese turning unit which was developed can be rapidly fitted to a standard forklift truck, with which it is connected in such a way as to permit lateral movement. The truck remains stationary while the unit picks up the stand holding the cheeses, turns it, and with a sideways movement puts it back in position upside down.
