This study stemmed from an interest in applied anthropology in medicine, and public health. After explaining the objectives, reviewing relevant literature, describing data collection methods and the village chosen for study (Chinaura in Zucknow district), the main part of the work deals with the relationship between various social and cultural factors and rural health.
