Nitrate reductase activity, protein content and yield of maize forms with and without ligules

, : Nitrate reductase activity, protein content and yield of maize forms with and without ligules. Fiziologiya na Rasteniyata 4(1): 5-9

Nitrate reductase activity, protein and chlorophyll contents and grain yield/plant were higher in 2 mutant ligule-less types of maize than in (a) 1 normal type (with ligule) at the 5-leaf, tasselling and flowering stages. Nitrate reductase activity was highest at the tasselling stage and protein contents increased with age.
