For Hereford X Friesian, Charolais X Friesian and Friesian cows resp., the cross-sectional area of the pelvic opening averaged 222.3, 242.4 and 241.9 cm2, and the ratio of the height to the width of the pelvis 1.092, 1.076 and 0.988.
