, : Prolactin clearance rates in male rats. Hormone and Metabolic Research 10(5): 451-452

4 groups of rats aged 90 days, mean wt. 320 plus or minus 8 g, received the following treatments: 10 mg diethylstilboestrol dipropionate 3 days prior to estimation of prolactin metabolic clearance rate (MCR); 0.3 mg/kg bromocriptine 30 min before MCR estimation; 0.6 mg/kg L-dopa immediately before MCR estimation; or no treatment. Rats were anaesthetized with sodium pentobarbitone, freshly prepared 125I-labelled prolactin injected and serial serum samples analysed.
