Protease activity in red clover clones resistant and susceptible to bean yellow mosaic virus

, : Protease activity in red clover clones resistant and susceptible to bean yellow mosaic virus. Phytopathology 69(1): A9

Different activities of papain, chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase were found in leaf homogenates of clones infected by bean yellow mosaic virus. The highest activity occurred in KyC13 (hypersensitive), intermediate activity in KyC71-8 (systemic necrosis) and the lowest activity in KyC36 (systemic chlorosis).
