, : Sheepskin production of crossbred sheep. Ovtsevodstvo (3): 36-37

Data were obtained on large numbers of skins processed in the montane region of the Kabardino-Balkar republic. For Lincoln Longwool (LL) X fine-wooled, Romney-Marsh (RM) X fine/coarse-wooled, Merino X thin-tailed, Tsigai X thin-tailed, Precoce X thin-tailed, LL X Kuchugury, and RM X Mikhnov sheepskins resp., fibre diameter averaged 30.9, 28.7, 28.0, 32.1, 25.8, 35.3 and 28.6 mu , and fibre density/mm2 30.0, 36.1, 35.3, 25.0, 33.3, 17.2 and 19.6.
