Some multiallele partial assortative mating systems for a polygamous species

, : Some multiallele partial assortative mating systems for a polygamous species. Theoretical Population Biology, 143: 446-470

Two classes of models of partial assortative mating mediated by a multiallele trait are studied. The first involves 2 phenotypic assorting classes determined by the level of heterozygosity, and the second assorting grouping specifies each genotype as a separate phenotype. It is established that increased allelism facilitates the existence and stability nature of central polymorphic states, although the rate of approach is diminished.
