Sterile ears of wheat in southern Ukraine

, : Sterile ears of wheat in southern Ukraine. Nauchno tekhnicheskii Byulleten' , Vsesoyuznyi Selektsionno geneticheskii Institut (30): 31-39

Results of bacteriological, mycological, virus and entomological investigations of the phenomenon of sterile ears in winter wheat are described. It was shown that development of sterile ears is conditioned by the activity of root rot, barley yellow dwarf (Hordeum virus nanescens) infection and cereal aphids.
