Survey of Gossypium hirsutum L. germplasm collections for seed-oil percentage and seed characteristics

, : Survey of Gossypium hirsutum L. germplasm collections for seed-oil percentage and seed characteristics. Survey of Gossypium hirsutum L germplasm collections for seed oil percentage and seed characteristics: iv + 38

Each of 747 entries from a collection maintained at Stoneville, Miss., and 626 entries from a more genetically diverse collection maintained at College Station, Tex. were assessed for oil content in seeds and in embryos, using a nondestructive nuclear magnetic resonance method, and were also assessed for five other seed characteristics using a sample of ten seeds for each entry.
