This review of the potential for aquaculture in the Australia and New Zealand region lays emphasis on the more immediate possibilities for expansion of current activities or for new developments. Immediate problems concern the logical, controlled and efficient development of various aquaculture systems. These problems can only be solved by co-operative efforts between research groups, industry and government.
