The influence of cultural factors and mildew on yield of winter barley

, : The influence of cultural factors and mildew on yield of winter barley. Journal of Agricultural Science 94(2): 389-397

In tests in 1975-76 and 1977-78, early or late sowing, full or half seed rate, N applied in Mar. or Apr. and tridemorph spray applications were assessed factorily for their effects on Erysiphe graminis development, crop growth and grain yield. Mildew developed after the mild 1975-76 winter, on both early and late sown crops throughout their growth period.

It is suggested that lung lavage without bronchoscopic monitoring could readily be used under practice conditions.
