India is a major world oilseeds producing country, and oilseeds occupy an important position in the Indian economy. Oilseeds contribute almost 4% to India's GNP and 9% of the value of her agricultural commodities. The area under oilseed was about 14.5% of total cropped areas in 1973-74. The major objective of this book is to project the supply of oilseeds in 1985.
