The use of forest biomass for the manufacture of particleboard

, : The use of forest biomass for the manufacture of particleboard. Bulletin des Recherches Agronomiques de Gembloux 13(4): 287-309

An analysis was made from Belgian samples of the proportion of aerial biomass greater than 7 cm diam., 1-7 cm and less than 1 cm, for beech, sessile oak birch and hornbeam. Particleboards were made from first thinnings of Norway spruce, of different types using different proportions of various grades of chips. Similar results were obtained from all chips made from material greater than 1 cm in diam.
