The results of a study of 50 farms in the area are given. The yield potentials and the opt. growing season to achieve at least 50% of these potentials of upland crops of rice, maize, sorghum, cowpeas, mung beans, sweet potatoes, groundnuts and soyabeans are presented. Due to insufficient rainfall, no crops could be sown/planted before 1 May.
