A fusicoccin-like compound in maize ears

, : A fusicoccin-like compound in maize ears. Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Biologicheskaya (6): 897-902

A fusicoccin-like compound was found in maize ears. The spectrometry of the chromatographic fraction containing this compound showed an aglycone component resembling that of the fusicoccin and producing physiological effects characteristic of fusicoccin: toxicity in tomato seedlings and an increase in length of the apical segments of maize roots.
