A general approach to the mechanization in small African farms

, : A general approach to the mechanization in small African farms. Rivista di Agricoltura Subtropicale e Tropicale 74(3/4): 145-150

The main objectives of small farm mechanization are: (1) alleviating human toil, (2) reducing time required for farming work, (3) improving cultivation techniques, and (4) increasing productivity. Moreover, mechanization also directly affects physical productivity by increasing the area farmed per man-hour employed, which increases farm incomes and profits, as a specific goal of a single farm and as an overall goal at the regional and national level.
