The major classes of anthelmintics for use in sheep, cattle and pigs are discussed. Details are given of spectrum, formulation, dosages, safety and side effects, contraindications and special instructions with regard to hygromycin, levamisole, organophosphates (dichlorvos, haloxon, coumaphos), phenothiazine, piperazine and its derivatives, pyrantel tartrate, thiabendazole, substituted benzimidazole carbamates (albendazole, fenbendazole, oxfendazole, oxibendazole) and morantel tartrate.
