, : A health and management programme for dairy herds. Irish Veterinary Journal 36(1/2): 6-10

The dairy herd health and management programme developed by the University of Melbourne and Victorian Department of Agriculture and operated by the University of Melbourne Veterinary Clinical Sciences Department is described. Farmers send copies of herd records to the Veterinary Clinical Centre each month, and cows are selected for examination by veterinarians on the basis of their histories. Lists of cows requiring examination are provided to the farmer and his veterinarian before the visit.
