A histidine-rich protein as a model for a malaria vaccine

, : A histidine-rich protein as a model for a malaria vaccine. The host invader interplay Proc 3rd Internat Symp on the biochemistry of parasites and host parasite relationships, Beerse, Belgium, 30 June to 3 July 1980: 549-553

A summary is given of studies which led to the successful use of a purified histidine-rich protein as a vaccine for a model malarial parasite, Plasmodium lophurae in ducklings, and studies that helped to identify a homologous protein from the human parasite P. falciparum.
