A holding box system for physiological experiments on rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri Richardson) requiring rapid blood sampling

, : A holding box system for physiological experiments on rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri Richardson) requiring rapid blood sampling. Journal of Fish Biology 18(3): 309-319

The construction and use of a holding box system for rainbow trout are described. The equipment was designed to take fish of up to 25 cm, with ten fish in each independent tray unit. Fish can be exposed to experimental changes in water quality and individuals removed at random during an experiment without disturbance to the other fish.
