A host-parasite list of the Mallophaga on mammals

, : A host-parasite list of the Mallophaga on mammals. Miscellaneous Publications of the Entomological Society of America 12(1): 1-72

The total number of valid species and subspecies of Mallophaga that are found on mammals is 467. There are at least 4268 species of living mammals, and there is evidence that at least 3400 species of mammals do not normally have Mallophaga. With better collecting, Mallophaga may be found on 512 species of mammals for which no current data exist. Mallophaga have now been recorded from 356 species of mammals.
