A light green, dwarf mutant located on chromosome 2

, : A light green, dwarf mutant located on chromosome 2. Barley Genetics Newsletter 11: 37-38

Following treatment of barley cultivar Glacier with 800 rads of neutrons, 26 mutants were selected. Six were early flowering, six were dwarfs, five were erectoides, three had elongated outer glumes, two had short awns, two were male sterile, one was uniculm and one was a light green dwarf. All were monofactorial recessives. All six of the earliness mutations were allelic, all three of the elongated outer glume mutations were allelic and the two male sterility mutations were nonallelic.
