A linear programming model for wildland fuel management planning

, : A linear programming model for wildland fuel management planning. Forest Science 27(1): 81-94

A full presentation of a mathematical model already briefly described that optimizes expenditure for wildland fuel management. Previous attempts to allocate fire management resources efficiently are discussed, and as an example, the model is applied to the fuelbreak system on the Angeles National Forest in S. California.
