The development of equipment for dairy farms and dairy factories in Norway during the last 100 years is described, with many photographs and drawings. In addition to the standard equipment (milk-cooling tanks, separators, pasteurizers, buttermaking machines, cheese vats, etc.) the article deals with equipment developed for manufacture of the characteristically Norwegian whey cheeses.
