, : A low-carbohydrate lager for diabetic patients. Practitioner 225(1353): 363-367

The effect on blood glucose and plasma insulin values of a lager containing carbohydrate 7.5 g/litre, alcohol 5.9% by volume and energy 1.68 MJ/litre (400 kcal/litre) was compared with that of a normal lager containing carbohydrate 27 g/litre, alcohol 4.1% by volume and energy 1.47 MJ/litre (350 kcal/litre) in normal controls, maturity-onset and insulin-dependent diabetics.
