, : A mastitis control programme in a herd of goats. Bulletin des Groupements Techniques Veterinaires (3 bis): 98-102

A mastitis control programme applied to a herd of goats (consisting of 12 in their 1st lactation and 51 in 2nd or later lactations) during the period Nov. 1977-Nov. 1978 is described. At drying off, the goats were each treated with cloxacillin Benzathine (Orbenin) intramammary injections; during lactation, infected quarters were treated with cloxacillin sodium injections on 3 successive days. Milking machines were maintained regularly and strict hygiene was observed during milking.
