A mathematical description of the processes of absorption and metabolism of auxin in plant cell cultures

, : A mathematical description of the processes of absorption and metabolism of auxin in plant cell cultures. 3 ya vsesoyuznaya konferentsiya Kul' tura kletok rastenii, Abovyan, 21-25 Maya 1979, Tezisy dokladov [Butenko, R G Editor]: 33-34

In cell cultures the IAA contents are decreased in the medium due to the absorption and oxidation, and in cells due to the conjugation and 'dilution' during cell multiplication. The processes of absorption and conjugation are reversible and therefore, besides the rate, they are characterized by (a) conjugation constants and (b) diffusion constants of the balance. The oxidation of IAA has a limit, conditioned by the inability of IAA-oxidase to oxidase IAA at a low conc. in the medium.
