The relationship between enzyme activity in the serum and tissues was studied during the course of trichinelliasis in man (serum and muscle biopsy examinations) and in experimental animals (examination of organs) and was evaluated mathematically. The muscular system was the main source of increased serum enzyme levels. Parenchymal organs were not involved. Parasite enzymes did not significantly affect the host's enzymatic activity.
